There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

dropoff: Day 3

Every morning when I drop Bri off at daycare, I wink at the round corner mirror that allows the workers to see into the changing room.

The changing room is shared between the one year olds and the babies. So the workers have to be careful not to let toddlers escape while the babies are being changed. This mirror helps them keep an eye on everyone in the big room.

I found this lovely mirror at the end of the last seven days run, and I knew it would be perfect for this summer.

I tried to wake up really early this morning so that I would be the first person in the room. But Miss Victoria was already there. She’s the elderly, gruff lady in charge of the baby room. She must’ve thought I was pretty silly for taking these pictures.

The other baby room workers are always sugary sweet, but Miss Victoria is a no-nonsense type woman. We love her to death. She has over fifteen years experience working with babies, and she just exudes confidence. But most importantly, Bri lights up every time I pass her over to Miss V.
