When we were kids, we loved to ride on horseback with Daddy up to the convenience store for a treat. Mama would always tell us about her childhood excursions where she’d get a bottle of lemonade. I think it cost 10 cents.
My favorite treat was a honey-bun with a grape soda or a Yoo-hoo (chocolate drink). Then we’d ride back to the barn through the woods. I love this little old building. Even though it’s closed now, it reminds me of those days.
