Today in Biology I have a really fun activity planned. Several months ago I applied for a grant from DonorsChoose.org and within forty eight hours I had received the funding for my project! The supplies arrived at my school in September.
And now, after MUCH anticipation, we’ve finally reached the unit in our curriculum where I planned to use the supplies. Here’s a peek at what I’ll be wearing to school today. (I’ve made nine similar t-shirts that contain the components of the formula for photosynthesis. The kids will get to wear them and line up to make the formula today in class.)
I know. I’m such a nerd. But in a totally cool way. Right?

How neat! I am a nerd right there with you. I certainly would have done this with my kids when I was teaching physical science (the chemistry part). Super idea to get hands on and make the kids move. Congratulations on getting all of the funding. I knew you had put it up there, but did not know that it was accomplished. Please update and let us know how it went with your classes.
That’s totally fun! I love it! How great to get the funding!
