There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy dwelling places of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

the summer dress recycled

Over the summer, I found about ten adorable little cotton dresses for Bri. She wore them a lot. But not enough to wear them out by the end of the summer. (Down here summer ends with October.) So as the temperatures have dipped over the last month or so, I’ve discovered a new way for Bri to wear those summer dresses.

When I layer a long-sleeved onesie underneath the dress and throw on a pair of blue jeans then we get this adorable layered look. It’s perfect for crawling around, because she doesn’t have the bustin’-slack look that is popular with so many babies this year. And the dresses don’t inhibit her knees anymore because she’s grown so much!

mesmerized by the fire

I had the hardest time finding a set of long sleeved onesies in Bri’s size. Eventually, I discovered a bunch of solid colored ones in the boys section of our favorite big box store. So I bought a red one, a black one, two different shades of blue and about four white onesies.

  1. Man I wish I could do something like that with the boys. Of course I do layer turtle necks and such under larger t-shirts. Great new photos of Bri 🙂
